LP Brown’s very own Reading Intervention Specialist/Teacher, Mrs. Devin Alexander, was voted on and named the OSD Teacher of the Year!  Mrs. Alexander has been teaching at LP Brown since 2006.  If you see her in the halls, make sure you congratulate her.

The following is the schedule for our students to attend the Olympia Junior Programs at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts.  Students will depart the school about 30 minutes prior to the show times and will arrive back at LP Brown approximately two hours later.  Please schedule appointments for after school time on these day.  Thank you.
Monday, April 29th 3rd, 4th, & 5th Grades The Phantom Tollbooth

Kindergarten registration opened Monday, March 4th.  If you have younger children, or have friends or neighbors that have children that will be starting kindergarten for the 2019-2020 school year, please share this information with them.  Registration packets will be available in the LP Brown office.

CISPUS is almost here!  Our 5th grade students will be attending Outdoor School at CISPUS Environmental Center in Randle, WA.,  April 10th, 11, and 12th.  This is a Wednesday, Thursday, Friday trip.  The Center has been developed specifically for students’ environmental studies and has excellent facilities for both study and research.  The cost is $150 per student.  If you need to make payments or need financial assistance, please contact Beth in the office.  If your student needs to take a prescription or over-the-counter medicine, the medicine AND doctors permission form need to be turned in ASAP, but will not be accepted past March 27th.

All over the counter and prescribed medications your student will need while at CISPUS require a Medication Authorization Form from your medical provider. Ibuprofen, Benadryl, Melatonin and daily allergy medication all apply. A provider order is no longer required for sunscreen. If your student already has medication orders at school you do NOT need a new order for CISPUS. Please contact the nurse to have the forms sent home. 360-596-6808 or jfulling@osd.wednet.edu.

Enjoy your Spring Break from Monday, April 1st through Friday, April 5th.  We look forward to seeing your kids refreshed and renewed on Monday, April 8th.
