A Message From Principal Hauschka

Dear LP Brown Families,

Principal HauschkaIt is with great pleasure that I greet you as the new principal of LP Brown Elementary. I hope this message finds you enjoying the beautiful summer weather we have been having. I am honored to lead this school and am humbled by this opportunity.

I come to you with over two decades of educational experience. I grew up in a family of educators, so I feel I have been in education all of my life. I have experience working with students in a variety of grade levels, settings and locations. In addition to my administrative experience with North Thurston Public Schools, I have taught in general education and special education classrooms in grades K-12.

I attended my first few years of elementary school right here at LP Brown and have taught in three different schools in the Olympia School District. My daughter graduated from Olympia High School this past June. Olympia is my home and I am committed to providing your child with the safe and caring learning environment that they deserve.

My years in education provided me with the opportunity to be a trainer of Equity, Differentiated Instruction and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports. All of these experiences have helped me to gain a unique perspective on how to help staff and students be successful. I am eager to collaborate with parents, community members, staff and students to honor the mission of LP Brown to “Ensure high levels of learning for all students.”

I know there will be questions as the year progresses and the impact of COVID-19 continues. I will do my best to share information and address questions promptly. I look forward to working with each of you.

Please do not hesitate to contact me to share your questions, concerns or ideas.

Sincerely,

Principal Hauschka
