Positive Behavior Support

At LP Brown, we know that all students want to do their best and feel appreciated when we recognize their efforts.  That is why we practice Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).  PBIS is a schoolwide, multi-tiered, behavior framework comprised of evidence-based practices and systems, established to improve behavior and academic outcomes for ALL students.

We spend time teaching students the behavior expectations for each area of the school and discuss the importance of being respectful, engaged and in control.  LP Brown's school-wide behavior expectations can be found here.

In addition to universal teaching on behavior expectations and social emotional skills, LP Brown offers strategic, evidence-based interventions for students.  Staff, students and parents can request support and/or interventions.
